As the weather cools off, so do a lot of clothing options for vegans; everywhere you turn, there's another wool sweater, cashmere scarf or down-filled jacket. Babe is always eager to tell her readers if she scores a cute cotton coat or non-leather boots, but often neglects to convey her gratitude to the people who sold her those items. If we want vegan fashion to be accessible to all, it makes sense to encourage major retailers to carry more faux leather and suede, cotton and other manmade materials, n'est-ce pas? So, kittens, Babe wants you to help her out on a little letter writing campaign. Next time you pick up a great vegan bag or shoe from a boutique or online store, send customer service a thank you note urging the availability of more fab animal-free stuff.
